On Monday morning we had a visitor from MDI talk about the financial state of India. I was only in on part of this presentation because I had to help a fellow classmate get to the doctor’s office because he was not feeling too well. The parts of the presentation that I heard sounded interesting.
Here are some more pictures of MDI’s campus grounds.

In the afternoon we went to visit a company called Eli Lilly, which is a global pharmaceutical company. They talked about how they had to compete against larger pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer by targeting the middle class people in India. Because of the sheer number of people in India, a drug that is cheap will still make a lot of money.

In the evening, we had a cultural event that was sponsored by MDI. A dancer came to show us the traditional styles of dancing. The general consensus was that she was not a very good dancer, but was very good at telling us the story behind each of the dances.

After this cultural event, we all piled into the bus and headed to a local country club to have dinner.

At this dinner, two of the students who were graduating from the MBA program stood up to give a speech because this was their last class.

At the conclusion of the dinner, we headed back and went to sleep prepare for our final day.
